Here are our top eight travel predictions for 2019. Think curated experiences, not just a holiday! We’d love to hear from you if any of these experiences or destinations inspire you to plan your next escape. We can tailor any of these trips to exactly where you want to go and how you like to travel - contact the team on 020 8935 5779.
We work with premium hotels and resorts who offer excellent all-inclusive offers, meaning you don’t have lots of unexpected extras and fluctuating currency conversions at the end of a lovely holiday! Go luxury all-inclusve at OZEN in the Maldives - dine at one of 7 restaurants, including the resort’s exclusive underwater bar, enjoy the PADI Certified dive school and an array of water sports. Our other top recommendations: Book a Suite or Villa at Daois Cove (Crete) and discover The Residents’ Club, a lavish gastronomic all-inclusive experience or enjoy the exquisite ‘fully inclusive’ service on the luxury private island of Jumby Bay (Antigua)
The latest developments in Expedition and River Cruises mean that you get a whole lot more adventure and style kudos than you might imagine from a traditional cruise! Embark on Ponant’s brand new 8 day cruise around the Mexican peninsula of Yucatán aboard the state-of-the-art ‘Le Champlain’ luxury ship to discover the treasures of the Mayan civilisation. Our other top recommendations include an 18 day expedition of the Chilean Fjords/Antarctica or uncover the hidden treasures of Venice and Northern Italy on a 10 day boutique odyssey.
Family travel can without doubt still be all about a lazy beach or villa break and we’re seeing these trips are becoming more adventurous for the whole family. Spend active screen-free time together - head to an historic ranch in Arizona at the foothills of the Rincon Mountains where you can ride in a stagecoach, go hiking, look after livestock and of course embrace your inner cowboy with daily scenic horse-back rides! Click here to read about how our Sales Manager, Heidi, enjoyed this lovely trip. We also highly recommend our new South Africa itinerary which is the perfect family holiday experience.
It turns out that exploring uncharted territories will be high up on everyone’s bucket list for 2019. A real opportunity to disconnect and discover, this year will see us making journeys further afield or to more remote locations. Book a 10 night Ceylon Food Safari in Sri Lanka, including 8 course tasting menus, learning how to make the traditional dish of Lamprais and Anuradhapura backroad cycling. Our other top recommendations: touring the sights of Vietnam or a desert adventure in Morocco
If you’re seeking a transformative wellness retreat or an adrenaline-fuelled active break, 2019 is all about achieving a healthy, lifestyle balance. Located near Bordeaux, the Vinothérapie Spa at Les Sources de Caudalie uses natural, mineral-rich hot spring water drawn from 540m beneath the earth combined with the latest scientific discoveries of the benefits of the grape and the grapevine. Our other top recommendations: Book the Revitalise programme at Euphoria Retreat (Greece) where you will immersed in a 7 day customised wellness schedule to re-energise and de-stress you or try out one of the Signature Retreats at the newly opened REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort in Bali.
Did you know that 53% of global travellers plan to take more weekend trips this year? You might be one of those! 2019 will see us squeezing in more curated experiences into shorter time frames. With our on-the-ground relationships, this means that we can facilitate unique and ‘bite sized’ trips to beautiful properties for you, like Hotel Sant Francesc a luxury 5 star hotel in Palma, Majorca. Our other top recommendations include escaping to the beautiful Les Roches Rouges on the French Riviera in a preserved natural environment opposite the Ile d’Or or go truffle hunting at Palazzo Seneca in the heart of Monti Sibillini in Umbria.
It is reported that social or environmental issues are increasingly important factors when choosing potential holidays. Sustainability is key to many of the hotels and boutique properties we work with. Take the newly opened Heckfield Place in Hampshire which claims it is at 85% sustainability with its onsite biodynamic kitchen garden & a whole farm to supply the two restaurants. Our other top recommendation: Head to Ulugalla in Sri Lanka which operates a solar energy farm that powers half of the resort’s energy requirements and where the activities including archery, horse-riding and nature walks have all been chosen for their minimal impact on the environment.
We are discovering more and more private islands tucked away in breath-taking locations which offer you a real opportunity to ‘flop and drop’ in total luxury. Escape the daily routine at Naladhu in the Maldives, staying in one of just 20 colonial-style houses with its own private swimming pool. Sheer private island bliss! Our other top recommendations include Necker Island (BVI) & Kanuhara (Maldives)
