Over the past two decades, the number of luxury hotels, resorts and cruise-liners has grown at an absolutely astonishing rate, bringing even more choice to familiar destinations, and assuring luxury travellers that a five-star experience can be enjoyed throughout their adventures, even when traversing more diverse destinations. Add to this the airlines that have spent millions on enhancing their in-air amenities: from fine-dining whenever the mood takes you, fabulous Frette linen-laden flat-beds and shower spas, to first-class suites – and in some cases your own private apartment – and the choice can be overwhelming. So to help formulate your travel plans and make your choices just that little bit easier, this month-by-month travel planner breaks down the best time of the year to visit some of these destinations. From sumptuous huts in tropical paradises, to boutique hotels in vibrant cities, our team of travel designers is dedicated to creating holidays that are truly memorable, for all the right reasons!
Europe is the most culturally dense continent on Earth. Exquisite art, architecture, historical sites, bustling squares, boutiques, multi- Michelin-starred cuisine – all in some of the world’s most beautiful cities. Then there’s Morocco, across the waters from Spain but seemingly a whole other world.
Dine in the best restaurants, shop ‘til you drop’, or step back in time and explore the history, thrills and spills of awe-inspiring locations like the Grand Canyon, the Big Apple, and all those breath-taking natural national parks.
Boasting a lifestyle that encourages doing absolutely nothing, from culturally rich Jamaica and the exoticism of Barbados, to the balmy, blissed-out beaches of Mexico, this region epitomises the term ‘laid-back luxury’.
Home to most peoples’ idea of Heaven on Earth are the clear-water paradises of the Seychelles, Mauritius and the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. Meanwhile, due north, Arabia boasts some of the world’s most lavish, luxurious cities in a clutch of its richest nations, where no holds are barred with anything – delivering mind-boggling results.
Africa’s astonishing natural history has made it a must-see destination for lovers of extraordinary wildlife and breath-taking landscapes, and those fascinated by its amazing cultural diversity – but you’ll also find 21st-century luxury in the form of boutique beach hotels and five-star safari lodges.
Australia – with its twinkling cities by the ocean, where sunshine, sand and flat-whites direct the pulse of life – is a land to explore, cherish and fall in love with. Its neighbour, New Zealand, with its epic countryside, is the adrenaline junkie’s Eden. And the Far East – from the jungles of Cambodia to Thailand’s original super-spas, via China’s thrilling cities and the haunting beauty of Vietnam – offers, quite literally, something for everyone.
